The Vampress Story
Vampress is an alternative, punk, rock and gothic clothing accessory label, which incepted in 2005 from Perth Australia. By Fashion Designer and Musician Iballa Chantelle from the band ‘The Creptter Children’.

After completing ‘Fashion and Textile Design’ through ‘Central Tafe’ in Perth 2002-2004, Iballa was extremely glad to leave to a breath of fresh air with the freedom to create and design the way her true talents intended. Sadly limited and discouraged by ‘Central Tafe’ from narrow mined lectures who criticized and constantly failed her work. Only made Iballa more determined to become successful and not lower herself to the sheep that these lectures manufactured. After wasting endless amount of money redoing assignments to their satisfaction. Iballa continued forward with her positive attitude and went on to express her real artistic talents and created ‘Vampress’.

As an outsider and a non follower of what is not consider the ‘norm’, Iballa wanted to create her label as close and influenced by her life style as much as possible. So she came up with ‘Vampress’. Named after her love for vampires and other mythical creatures.
Putting together the style direction for Vampress was easy for Iballa. Which is a mixture of her crazy ideas and inspirations from vampires, rock-stars, horror movies and heavy music.
Iballa designed the label to make people feel comfortable as an individual and only aim for the best out of life. Making a strong statement and allowing the wearer freedom, a sense of empowerment, confidence in who they are and leadership like a rock-star.

Originally Iballa designed clothing and accessories for the female market but now caters Vampress for both males and females. Vampress has gained huge popularity within the alternative market globally.
